The chairman of the barangay where Kian Loyd delos Santos resided confirmed Tuesday that the 17-year-old student was not included in the drug watch list and had no derogatory record in their area.
“Hindi ko ganun kakilala si Kian but based on barangay records, there was no offense [recorded there as having been] committed by Kian,” Barangay 160 chair Helica Joyce Macalinao said during the Senate hearing.
Upon checking with the local Social Welfare and Development office, Macalinao said she found out that the office also did not have a record of Delos Santos committing any offense.
The police by way of an explanation earlier said that Delos Santos was a newly-identified drug suspect and not included in the drug watch list.
Delos Santos was killed during a one-time, big-time operation in Sta. Quiteria, Caloocan City. — (GMA News)
